Estate History
Founded by Laurent Vaillé in the early 1990s, Domaine de la Grange des Pères has established itself as a true icon of the Languedoc. Combining traditional methods with a precise, artisanal approach, the estate produces limited, highly sought-after wines that reflect the complexity and beauty of their terroir.
Terroir
Situated in the limestone hillsides of the Hérault Valley, the vineyards benefit from poor, rocky soils and a Mediterranean climate softened by altitude. These conditions allow slow, balanced ripening of the grapes, bringing depth, freshness, and aging capacity to the wine.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red with garnet highlights. The nose is complex and mature, offering aromas of black cherry, cassis, garrigue herbs, leather, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is silky and harmonious, with fine-grained tannins, well-integrated fruit, and a persistent finish marked by minerality and gentle earthy notes.
A refined and elegant expression of Languedoc, beautifully balanced between power and finesse — showcasing the greatness of Grange des Pères with over a decade of evolution.
Pairing
Perfect with roasted lamb, duck breast, venison, or aged hard cheeses like Comté or Manchego.
