Domaine History
Château Bouissel, a 25-hectare family-owned estate in the Fronton AOP near Toulouse, has showcased the region’s potential since 1928. Under the leadership of Luc Flores since 2020, the domaine remains dedicated to organic farming, blending tradition and innovation to craft wines that reflect the richness of the terroir.
Terroir
The vineyards are located on gravelly terraces with boulbens and clay soils, benefiting from excellent drainage and wind exposure. The Mediterranean and oceanic climate, with 2,037 hours of sunshine and 773 mm of annual rainfall, supports optimal grape ripening and balance.
Viticulture & Winemaking
Committed to sustainability and organic practices, the estate uses green manure, mechanical tillage, manual thinning, and harvests at peak maturity. Vinification includes careful extraction and aging in French oak barrels and sandstone eggs, enhancing structure and aromatic depth.
Tasting Notes
Deep garnet color. The nose reveals intense aromas of blackberries, black cherries, cocoa, and spice. On the palate, the wine is powerful and structured, with silky tannins, layered dark fruit, and a long, complex finish marked by finesse and freshness.
A bold and elegant Malbec-Syrah blend, combining depth, aromatic richness, and refined tannins.
Pairing
Ideal with grilled ribeye, duck breast, game meats, or aged cheeses.
