Dense, deep ruby in color. Aromas is gentle and floral with fresh sweet blue berry, cassis, black berry, red cherry, raspberry, fresh spices (basil and tarragon in specific), spices (cloves, cinnamon), red flowers (violet) with a touch of leather and mint leaf. Silky smooth on the palate with characters of sour cherry, white strawberry, cinnamon stick, forest floor and a hint of savouriness. A very gentle spice notes (licorice, nutmeg and cloves), wood smoke and cherry on the finish. This deep coloured Cahors is made with grapes from vines with 15 to 30 years of age, matured in foudre (a French foudre can holds up to 300 hL), bottled without added sulphites.
