Douhairet Porcheret Monthelie 1er Cru Les Duresses White 2022

Brilliant, clear straw in color. Nose is superbly subtle and multi-layered with fresh stone fruits (particularly apricot and nectarine), yellow fruits, tangerine, orange, quince, green pear, un-toasted chestnut, fresh herbs and a gentle touch of wood derived characters such as wood toast & wood smoke. Palate is very elegant with plenty of fresh yellow fruits, quince, lime zest and mandarin peel. Toast, lime curd, lemon meringue splashed with finely grated lime zest on the finish. Located in the heart of Côte de Beaune, Douhairet-Porcheret was funded over 300 years ago. This particular wine has only some 1,600 bottles being produced a year, using grapes from vines approximately 70 years old.
