Domaine History

Domaine Anne Gros is based in Vosne-Romanée. The estate presents this Bourgogne Rouge as a direct expression of Pinot Noir, with fruit, weight and suppleness.

Terroir

The Bourgogne Rouge is a blend of three parcels totalling 0.87 hectares: Les Champs d’Argent, Les Glapigny and Les Pasquiers, with vines averaging 40 years old. They lie on the plain between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Flagey-Échezeaux. The earth is heavy, rich and humid, with few stones; its clay brings power and helps the vines withstand drought.

Winemaking

The wine is aged in barrels, including 30% new oak. This ageing provides weight and suppleness, helping to soften the tannins.

Tasting Notes

This Bourgogne Rouge is often bursting with fruit and strongly expresses Pinot Noir. Its weight and suppleness balance the tannins; in some vintages, the wine can age for more than ten years.

A fruit-forward Pinot Noir with supple weight and the structure to develop with age.

Pairing

Pair with roasted white or red meat, meat cooked in wine sauces, charcuterie, or soft cheeses.
