Domaine History
Château Bouissel, a 25-hectare family-owned vineyard in the heart of the Fronton AOP, has been showcasing the region’s potential since 1928. Acquired by Luc Flores in 2020, the estate remains committed to preserving local expertise and promoting the appellation through organic farming and thoughtful winemaking.
Terroir
The vineyard is planted on clay soils with boulbens and gravel, benefiting from excellent wind exposure for optimal vine ventilation. The Mediterranean and oceanic climate provides 2,037 hours of sunshine, an average temperature of 22°C, and 773 mm of annual rainfall. The vines are pruned using the Guyot-Poussard method with a yield of 45 HL/ha, ensuring balanced growth and fruit concentration.
Viticulture & Winemaking
Château Bouissel follows sustainable and organic farming practices, including fava bean cover cropping, spring manure application, mechanical soil work, manual thinning, leaf stripping, and harvesting at optimal freshness. Winemaking combines traditional techniques with innovation, using French oak barrels and sandstone eggs to enhance complexity and terroir expression.
Tasting Notes
The nose opens with fresh raspberry and blackcurrant aromas, complemented by a beautiful floral bouquet. On the palate, the wine is round and silky, with well-integrated tannins. Flavors of red fruits and delicate varietal notes bring balance, freshness, and elegance to the finish.
A graceful and aromatic red blend, combining juicy fruit, floral finesse, and silky texture.
