Domaine History

Château de la Chaize, a historic estate founded in 1676 in the heart of Beaujolais, is known for its commitment to organic and sustainable viticulture. The estate produces wines that respect tradition while highlighting the elegance and aromatic purity of the Gamay grape across the region’s finest crus.

Terroir

The Fleurie vineyards are planted on pink granite soils with excellent drainage, situated on gentle slopes with optimal sun exposure. This terroir brings finesse, floral aromatics, and silky tannins to the Gamay grapes, making Fleurie one of the most elegant crus of Beaujolais.

Tasting Notes

Bright ruby red color. The nose is floral and expressive, offering notes of violets, red cherries, raspberries, and a hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh and silky, with fine tannins, juicy red fruit, and a smooth, elegant finish.

A delicate and charming Fleurie, showcasing floral finesse, bright fruit, and graceful balance — a perfect example of the Gamay grape at its best.

Pairing

Ideal with roast chicken, duck breast, grilled salmon, or soft cheeses like Brie and Camembert.
