Estate History

Domaine Duseigneur, located on the right bank of the Rhône River, is renowned for its biodynamic approach and dedication to producing elegant, terroir-driven wines. The estate focuses on revealing the purity and energy of its vineyards, with a strong respect for the environment. “Antarès” is the domaine’s signature Lirac cuvée, named after the brightest star in the constellation Scorpio.

Terroir

The vineyards lie on sandy and pebbly soils typical of the Lirac appellation, benefiting from Mediterranean sunshine tempered by the Mistral wind. These conditions favor deep root systems and balanced ripening, enhancing concentration while preserving freshness and minerality.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red color. The nose is expressive and complex, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, garrigue herbs, licorice, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and smooth, with silky tannins, ripe dark fruit, and a long, spicy, and elegant finish.

A bold yet refined Lirac — biodynamic and expressive, combining Rhône power with balance and finesse.

Pairing

Perfect with grilled meats, lamb tagine, duck breast, or aged cheeses like Comté or Manchego.
