Estate History
Balansa is a family estate located in the Vallée du Paradis, in the Languedoc region, working organically and biodynamically. The domaine focuses on low-intervention winemaking and old native grape varieties, crafting vibrant and expressive wines that honor their Mediterranean roots.
Terroir
The vineyards of “Coume de Maliès” are planted on limestone and schist soils, bathed in Mediterranean sunshine and refreshed by coastal breezes. These conditions allow for slow ripening and preserve the natural freshness and aromatic purity of the white grape varieties.
Tasting Notes
