Domaine History

Domaine Balansa is a family-run estate located in the Corbières region of southern France. Committed to biodynamic principles, the Balansa family cultivates their vines with respect for nature, aiming to produce wines that reflect the authenticity of their terroir and heritage.

Terroir

Situated in the Fitou appellation, the vineyards are planted on a mix of schist, limestone, and clay soils at an altitude of around 300 meters. The Mediterranean climate, tempered by altitude and sea breezes, ensures freshness and complexity in the wines.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet color. The nose is intense and layered, with aromas of blackberries, garrigue, black olives, and subtle smoky notes. The palate is powerful yet balanced, showing ripe dark fruit, smooth tannins, and a lingering, spicy finish.

A bold and structured red wine from Fitou, combining southern warmth with freshness and finesse.

Perfect with grilled lamb, duck confit, hearty stews, or aged cheeses.
