Estate History

Extra Brut Premier Cru is the signature cuvée of Frerejean Frères, an artisanal Champagne house based in Avize in the Côte des Blancs.

Terroir

The cuvée comes from vines over 40 years old in the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne.

Winemaking

The blend is 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. Reserve wines add persistent tension, while a very low dosage and five years of maturation reveal the finesse and complexity of the cuvée.

Tasting Notes

Bright gold with fine, delicate bubbles. White fruits, including green apple and vineyard peach, combine with dried fruits, white flowers, brioche and honey. The palate shows delicate minerality and a creamy Chardonnay texture, while Pinot Noir brings roundness and an elegantly complex, balanced finish.

A 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir Extra Brut Premier Cru, matured for five years and defined by fine bubbles, minerality and a creamy texture.

Pairing

Serve with smoked salmon, creamy poultry with white wine and thyme, sweetbreads with morels, or pike-perch in clarified butter.
