Domaine History

Located in Cairanne, in the Southern Rhône Valley, Domaine de l’Oratoire Saint-Martin has been family-run for over 300 years. Frédéric and François Alary represent the latest generation, cultivating the estate organically since the 1990s, with a deep respect for the terroir and traditional winemaking practices.

Terroir

The “Haut Coustias” parcel sits on high limestone slopes with blue marl and rocky outcrops, at over 200 meters altitude. This unique terroir provides excellent drainage, natural freshness, and deep minerality, ideal for Mourvèdre to thrive and express great complexity.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby color with purple tints. The nose reveals layers of black fruit, garrigue herbs, and spicy notes of licorice and black pepper. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied, and structured, with velvety tannins and a long, mineral-driven finish.

A powerful yet elegant Rhône red, showcasing the depth of Mourvèdre with finesse and aging potential.
