História da Propriedade

The Speri family, a historic name in Valpolicella winemaking since the 19th century, is celebrated for its mastery of traditional Amarone production. The **”Sant’Urbano”** represents the pinnacle of their work, sourced from the Monte Sant’Urbano vineyard — a site known for producing Amarone with elegance, balance, and remarkable aging potential.

Terroir

The **Monte Sant’Urbano** vineyard lies on volcanic and limestone-rich soils at 280 to 350 meters altitude in the heart of Valpolicella Classico. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and undergo the traditional appassimento process, air-dried for several months to concentrate flavors and aromas, ensuring depth, structure, and complexity.

Notas de degustação

Deep garnet red with slight brick reflections, showing beautiful maturity. The nose offers complex aromas of dried cherry, plum, fig, tobacco, cocoa, licorice, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is velvety and full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, elegant finish marked by balsamic and earthy notes.

A gracefully aged Amarone Classico — rich, complex, and harmonious, revealing depth, balance, and smooth evolution over time.

Harmonização

Perfect with game meats, braised beef, ossobuco, or aged cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano. Also ideal as a meditation wine.
