Estate History

Maison Aegerter, founded in 1988 by Jean-Luc Aegerter and now led by his son Paul, has built its reputation on crafting precise, terroir-driven wines from Burgundy’s most iconic appellations. The **Bonnes Mares Grand Cru** stands out among the estate’s finest wines, reflecting the power, elegance, and longevity of this exceptional Grand Cru vineyard located between Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis.

Terroir

The **Bonnes Mares** Grand Cru vineyard is characterized by a mix of clay-limestone soils, with both red clay areas that bring power and white marl zones that contribute finesse. This diversity allows Pinot Noir to develop great complexity, structure, and aromatic intensity, with superb aging capacity.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby color with garnet reflections, showing the beginning of graceful maturity. The nose is rich and layered, offering aromas of ripe black cherry, raspberry compote, forest floor, leather, truffle, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and silky, with rounded tannins, well-balanced acidity, and a long, elegant, earthy finish.

A powerful and harmonious Grand Cru Pinot Noir — combining depth, aromatic complexity, and refined texture, with beautiful evolution over time.

Pairing

Perfect with venison, roast duck, beef filet with morel mushrooms, or aged cheeses like Époisses or Comté.
