Domaine History
Domaine Altugnac, located in the Haute Vallée de l’Aude at the foothills of the Pyrenees, is led by the Collovray & Terrier families, pioneers of cool-climate viticulture in the Languedoc. Their focus on high-altitude vineyards allows them to craft elegant wines with freshness and finesse.
Terroir
The Pinot Noir vines grow on clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 400 to 500 meters. The cool nights and sunny days of this high-altitude terroir help preserve acidity and aromatic complexity, bringing balance and elegance to the wine.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant ruby red color. The nose is delicate and expressive, revealing aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and floral notes with a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh and silky, with fine tannins and a smooth, fruit-driven finish.
A lively and elegant Pinot Noir from the Pays d’Oc, offering purity of fruit and beautiful freshness.
Pairing
Perfect with roast chicken, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, or soft cheeses like Brie and Camembert.
