Estate History
Maison Aegerter, established in 1988 by Jean-Luc Aegerter and today managed by his son Paul, is dedicated to crafting expressive and terroir-focused wines across Burgundy’s greatest appellations. The **Bonnes Mares Grand Cru** is among the estate’s most prestigious cuvées, representing the power, depth, and elegance of this exceptional vineyard located between Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis.
Terroir
The **Bonnes Mares Grand Cru** vineyard offers a complex mix of clay-limestone soils, with red clay areas bringing structure and power, and white marl zones adding finesse and minerality. This diversity allows Pinot Noir to reach full aromatic potential while developing excellent aging capacity.
Tasting Notes
Garnet red color with amber reflections, showing beautiful maturity. The nose is rich and complex, with aromas of stewed cherry, dried raspberry, leather, forest floor, truffle, and soft spices. On the palate, the wine is silky and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant, earthy finish.
A superbly aged Bonnes Mares Grand Cru — combining depth, aromatic complexity, and refined texture with remarkable aging grace.
Pairing
Perfect with venison, duck breast, beef filet with morel mushrooms, or aged cheeses like Époisses and Comté.
