Domaine Charles Frey is based in Dambach-la-Ville, Alsace. This late-harvest Pinot Gris comes from the Frankstein Grand Cru.

Terroir

Frankstein Grand Cru overlooks Dambach-la-Ville. Its granite soil and subsoil form a light, stony and sandy terroir with strong natural drainage. The favoured slopes face south to south-east.

Tasting Notes

The 2017 offers an intense, complex nose with citrus, honey and ripe-fruit notes of quince, peach and mango. The palate is full and generous, with a finish that remains remarkably fresh.

A generous late-harvest Pinot Gris whose ripe-fruit richness is balanced by the freshness of Frankstein Grand Cru.

Pairing

Serve as an aperitif, with foie gras, or with fruit tarts and a fruit salad of mango, coriander and lime.
