Domaine History

Maison Aegerter was founded in 1988 by Jean-Luc Aegerter in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy. Built on a passion for expressing the diversity of Burgundy’s terroirs, the family estate has grown under the leadership of Jean-Luc’s son, Paul, who continues to blend respect for tradition with an open-minded approach to modern winemaking.

Terroir

Meursault, located in the Côte de Beaune, is one of Burgundy’s most celebrated appellations for white wines. The vineyards rest on clay-limestone soils rich in marl, giving the wines their hallmark balance of richness and minerality. The temperate continental climate promotes slow ripening, ensuring concentration and elegance.

Tasting Notes

Golden yellow colour with subtle green glints. The nose opens with complex aromas of ripe pear, toasted almonds, and a touch of honey, layered over a flinty mineral base. On the palate, it is generous and round, offering flavours of stone fruit, butter, and hazelnut, balanced by a fresh acidity. The long, persistent finish leaves a refined impression of minerality and depth.

A classic Meursault, combining opulence and precision, with excellent aging potential.

Pairing

Perfect with lobster, scallops, roast poultry with cream sauce, or aged Comté cheese.
