Estate History

Maison Aegerter, founded in 1988 by Jean-Luc Aegerter and now led by his son Paul, is known for producing expressive, terroir-focused wines from Burgundy’s greatest appellations. The **Bonnes Mares Grand Cru** represents one of the crown jewels of the Côte de Nuits, located between Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis, renowned for delivering both power and refinement in Pinot Noir.

Terroir

Stretching across two prestigious villages, **Bonnes Mares Grand Cru** benefits from a mosaic of clay-limestone soils, with areas of red clay and white marl. This diversity in terroir brings together structure, depth, aromatic complexity, and finesse, allowing Pinot Noir to achieve full expression with remarkable aging potential.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet color with brick hues, showing graceful evolution. The nose is complex and intense, offering aromas of stewed cherry, dried raspberry, forest floor, leather, truffle, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is rich and silky, with well-integrated tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish layered with earthy and spicy notes.

A superb mature Grand Cru Pinot Noir — powerful yet refined, combining aromatic depth, silky texture, and excellent balance, with exceptional aging grace.

Pairing

Perfect with venison, roasted duck, beef filet with mushrooms, or aged cheeses like Époisses or Comté.
